E-scooters are classified as Personal Light Electric Vehicles (PLEVs), so they are treated as motor vehicles and subject to the same legal requirements, such as:
• MOT
• Licensing
• Tax
• Insurance
As e-scooters do not have number plates, signalling ability and don’t always have visible rear lights, they can’t be used legally on the roads, cycle lanes, tracks and pavements. Make sure you only use your e-scooter on private land.

I got one. Took the battery and motor out and roll down hills on it waiting to get pinched by old bill.
Unmotorised scooters aren’t illegal.
I don’t really do that.
These things cost 4 to 5 hundred quid yet all the people I see riding around on them look poor.

These could be handy for going to the matches. You can easily carry them on the train to Stratford or Hacney Wick and then straight to the ground and lock them onto the bike things. Saves walking, but makes you look a cunt.
